Bushfoods do well in NSW, absent elsewhere.
Oz Tukka recieved $30,579 to purchase new processing equipment for producing value added products made from Australian native spices and bush foods (I'm sure their application wasn't as vague as the news item). 'Playing with Fire' gained $54,937 to purchase equipment for manufacturing a range of value added products produced from locally grown Australian native foods (I am sure 'Fire's' application was also more detailed - interesting that Oz Tukka are 'bushfoods' while Fire are 'native foods').
Queensland were closer to home with $79,800 to UQP Holdings to establish a kangaroo meat tracing system.
SA and Tasmania, not surprisingly, were heavily into sea-foods while the NT got only one grant - to the Katherine Horticultural Society to upgrade its commercial food processing facility to provide local small scale producers with increased production capacity.
WA were into organics, yogurt and loose leaf lettuce while Vic got funding for wine, walnuts and jams.
