And speaking of Pitjuri...

No sooner had I posted this article, then this came in...

I have had an enquiry from a lady who was wanting to know where she can get some of the Pituri plant - or even seeds so she can grow her own supply.
She has an allergy to hydrocarbons which cause her stomach/bowel problems and has been prescribed Buscopan [or something like that] which has this plant as well as labelia.  pituri [Duboisia hopwoodii] [native tobacco] - she wants to know where she get this or who she could contact so she can take it naturally and be able to control her condition herself without reducing her body to nasty drugs.  Apparently the puturi relaxes the stomach muscles without causing any bowel problems such as constipation etc. I have referred her also to Graham & Veronica from Witjuti Grub Bush Nursery to see if they could help.
